Look at yourself first before reforming Umno - Anwar to KJ

 

GE15 | Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar Ibrahim has asked health minister Khairy Jamaluddin to take a good look at himself before wanting to reform Umno.

"Yesterday I went to Sungai Buloh, I wanted to tell Khairy who wants to reform and bring changes in Umno.

"Better you look at yourself in a mirror. Vaccine didn’t tender. MySejahtera given to a friend. A Singaporean company at that.

"Want to reform Umno, reform but don't use the rakyat to make false promises this election," he told a ceramah session in Kangar, Perlis, today.

The PKR president was referring to Khairy's role in managing the procurement and administration of the Covid-19 vaccine, and the MySejahtera application, as the health minister.

Last week, Khairy said he hoped to win the Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat to "cleanse" Umno and bring changes to the country.

Meanwhile, Anwar also urged Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin and PAS leaders to "take leave" as they have experienced holding the prime minister and minister posts.

"Muhyiddin has been prime minister, and PAS (leaders) have become ministers.

"Take leave, give me a chance to fix the country."

Anwar further assured that Malaysians need not fear DAP as the country still needs a Malay as its leader.

"This country needs a Malay as the leader. A strict Malay to defend the fate of the Malays, their culture, and religion.

"(At the same time) we also need the participation of the Chinese, Indians, Sabahans, and Sarawakians. The problem here is not the Chinese, but stupid and corrupt Malay leaders." - Mkini
