JERLUN: PAS election director Sanusi Md Nor has brushed off calls for a youth leader to be sacked after the latter said those who voted for their rivals in the general election would go to hell.
Sanusi said it was normal for people to make mistakes.
“(It is not like) he killed anyone. He went overboard and he had retracted the statement,” Sanusi said, referring to Sik PAS Youth chief Shahiful Nasir.
He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a Perikatan Nasional ceramah here.
Sanusi then apologised on behalf of Sik PAS.
Shahiful drew flak after saying voters who backed Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Harapan in the polls would go to hell. He has since apologised.
Earlier today, PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin apologised to those offended by Shahiful’s statement. - FMT
