Six sworn in as Perlis exco members before Raja of Perlis

 

Six members of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly today took their oaths as members of the State Executive Council (Exco) before the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail at Istana Arau.

They are four assemblypersons from PAS and two from Bersatu, all of whom have been approved by Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.

Also present was the Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

All six assemblypersons signed their letters of appointment, witnessed by the Chief Judge of Kangar High Court Arik Sanusi Yeop Johari and state Syariah Chief Judge Jaidi Ahmad.

On Tuesday (Nov 22), Sanglang assemblyperson Mohd Shukri Ramli took the oath of office as the new Perlis menteri besar before Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) succeeded in forming the state government in the 15th general election (GE15) after winning 14 out of 15 state seats, in addition to making a clean sweep of all three parliamentary seats, namely Padang Besar, Arau and Kangar.
