Umno’s finished if voter turnout hits 80%, says Muhyiddin

 

Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said Umno won the Johor state elections because many of its supporters came out to vote.

PAGOH: Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin believes that Umno is finished if 80% of registered voters come out to vote on Nov 19.

He said the low voter turnout for the Johor state polls was the main reason why BN had won big in that election.

In this year’s Johor state elections, only around 55% of voters came out to vote. BN won 40 out of the 56 seats up for grabs.
