KUALA LUMPUR: The Hot FM's Bekpes Hot crew sent their well wishes to the Malaysian rescue teams who are in Turkiye for the earthquake rescue mission.
Khairy Jamaluddin, who began his co-hosting duties with AG and Johan this morning, praised the various teams for their tireless effort.
"We wish all the best to the elite Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (Smart), Armed Forces and Fire and Rescue Department personnel sent there to help in the rescue mission," he said.
Khairy also asked listeners to continue praying for the safety of the victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake which struck the southern of central Turkey and western Syria on Feb 6. The earthquake has so far claimed the lives of over 40,000.
Donations can be channelled to Mercy Malaysia's Turkiye earthquake relief fund. Media Prima Berhad is Mercy Malaysia's strategic partner.
Khairy also took to the airwaves to praise the Transport Ministry's effort in digitalising road tax that saves private vehicle owners from dealing with "a sticky situation" anymore.
He gave a personal shout out to minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook.
"We need to commend this effort.
"Anthony, if you are listening to this, well done," said Khairy. - NST
