KUALA LUMPUR - Minister in the prime minister's department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said pointed out that former attorney-general Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail should apologize for setting up an investigation panel before he left his post to probe 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion allegedly banked into the private accounts of prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
She said the former AG's move had marred the reputation of the country and the prime minister.
She asserted that Abdul Gani's decision to probe the prime minister based on the untrue allegations of Wall Street Journal, had opened the door for former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and other anti-Najib individuals to attack him and the government.
