Passengers complain they received texts about a pilot strike.
PETALING JAYA: Rayani Air flights were disrupted today by a pilot strike, Star Online reported.
The news site said passengers were informed just a few hours before flight time.
It said three flights from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching on Friday were cancelled.
It quoted a passenger going to Langkawi as saying her flight was rescheduled three times before it was finally cancelled.
The texts informed her of a “pilot strike”.
The passenger then had to take a bus to Langkawi.
Star Online said when contacted, a Rayani Air spokesperson said she was not authorised to comment on the matter and asked to contact the airline founder instead.
However, calls to founder Ravi Alagendran went to voicemail, it added.
Rayani Air’s Facebook page had no information on any cancellation of flights.
