PETALING JAYA: Two brothers who were caught on video fighting with parangs in a flower shop at Sungai Petani, Kedah, have been arrested.
According to a news report, the siblings, aged 29 and 36, were fighting over money. Neither have any criminal record and both tested negative for drugs.
Kuala Muda police chief Adzli Abu Shah said the brothers, whose fight went viral on social media, were arrested at 10pm on Sunday.
According to Harian Metro, the arrests were made after a police report was lodged on the same day.
Adzli said both brothers were released on bail.
The case is being investigated under Section 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
He advised the public against posting such incidents on social media and to provide information to the police instead. - FMT
