Police have summoned Pakatan Harapan youth chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin over a recent memorandum submitted to the United States Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
Shazni (above) said in a statement that he was contacted by the Wangsa Maju District police to have his statement recorded over the memorandum that called on the US to ensure the ceasefire between Israel's Zionist regime and Palestine's Hamas was honoured.
"I will be present today at 2.30pm to give full cooperation with the police," said Shazni who is also Amanah youth chief.
Following the initial ceasefire that temporarily halted an ongoing conflict in Gaza, Pakatan Harapan Youth had announced a public protest on May 21 against Israel's atrocities.
The plans were later changed to a 10 person protest and memorandum submission.
Police, however, only permitted two representatives from the group that gathered along Jalan Tun Razak - Shazni and former PKR Youth vice-chief Syed Badli Shah Syed Osman - to proceed with the memorandum submission. - Mkini
