Klang Valley seniors without appointments can walk in for jabs starting tomorrow

Klang Valley senior citizens, who have yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccination appointments, can walk in to any vaccination centre in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for their vaccination starting tomorrow.

Minister in charge of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) Khairy Jamaluddin said a special lane will be set up for those aged 60 and above.

At the same time, senior citizens who have yet to be registered for the NIP can register at the vaccination centres, he said in a press briefing today.

Khairy, however, stressed that senior citizens who already have appointments should follow the appointment dates and not walk in for their injections.

He assured all the appointments for Klang Valley senior citizens are before or on Aug 1.

The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force data recorded 2,680,880 million senior citizens, 219,404 disabled people and 5,136,727 people with co-morbidities who have been vaccinated so far.

It added that 95 percent of registered senior citizens have been vaccinated or given their appointments. - Mkini
