KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's office has denied he had issued a statement calling for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resign and that the Pas president had offered himself to lead the nation.
In a short statement, Hadi's office labelled a statement purportedly from the party president being spread on social media and messaging platforms as fake and without any basis.
"The (only) official Pas statement was issued by the deputy president (Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man)," it said, referring to a statement issued earlier in which Tuan Ibrahim had reiterated the party's support for Muhyiddin as prime minister. - NST
