KOTA KINABALU: Forget about politics, let’s focus on bringing development to the state and its people, says Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said he would rather work on policies and realising the development plans than worrying about what people think or say about him.
He said he did not care or respond to criticisms from those who do not like the state government’s plans and policies.
“I will only focus on working for the people,” he said after a meet-the-people session held in conjunction with Christmas in Tuaran on Saturday (Dec 30).
Hajiji said he preferred to hit the ground and meet the people directly as such informal gatherings enable him to know his constituents and interact better with them.
Hajiji said though he might not be able to attend such events often, the people could always share their problems and concerns with him via various channels at any time.
At the Christmas gathering, he said such programmes allow friends and relatives of different religions and cultures to foster closer relationships, which would eventually lead to a strengthened unity and harmonious society. - Star
