PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian man was fined S$1,200 (RM4,160) by a Singapore court today for squirting a mixture of his own urine and flour on a woman in the hope of having the opportunity to talk to her.
Tan Jun Hao, 31, pleaded guilty to a charge of using criminal force on the 26-year-old victim, The Straits Times reported.
He had tailed the woman at the Nicoll Highway MRT station on April 9 before squirting the mixture, which was mixed and stored in a plastic bottle, on her dress as she walked along an overhead bridge.
Deputy public prosecutor Yap Jia Jun said Tan had hatched the plan so he could strike up conversations with women by alerting them to the stain on their clothes.
However, in this particular case, he walked past the victim instead of stopping to talk to her.
“He wanted to create opportunities for him to talk to these women,” said Yap. “He had also prepared red dye at home, which he intended to mix into the liquid.”
Tan reportedly admitted to committing the same offence on two other women, who remain unknown.
It is unclear how authorities managed to nab Tan. - FMT
