SHAH ALAM: Perikatan Nasional will discuss next week the opposition coalition’s “poster boy” for the Sabah elections, who is expected to be the PN candidate for the chief ministership.
PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said coalition leaders have yet to decide on the matter.
“But this is among the agendas at the meeting where we will also discuss preparations for the state elections,” he told reporters after attending the Bersatu general assembly here.
He said this when asked about Bersatu vice-president Ronald Kiandee as a potential election “poster boy”.
Muhyiddin, who is also Bersatu president, said PN leaders would discuss if the coalition will go solo to contest the state elections or form an alliance with other Sabah-based parties.
The next elections to the Sabah state assembly must be held by October next year at the latest. - FMT
