JOHOR POLLS | Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, has lambasted Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming over the DAP leader’s recent social media post using her image, calling it cheap propaganda.
Nga’s post uploaded on his official X account yesterday showed what appeared to be an AI-generated graphic of Rosmah pointing her fingers with text saying, “If you don’t come back, I’ll be back”.
The graphic is believed to be a message for Johor voters to return to the state and cast their vote this Saturday.
Rosmah condemned Nga’s action in sharing the post, which she described as an attempt to deceive voters.
“It is even more shameful that he (Nga) is a federal minister (who) ought to set an example of mature politics, rather than disseminating slanderous and manipulative material like a desperate party operative chasing votes.
“I never issued the statement shown in that image. This is a blatant, malicious lie concocted to mislead voters,” she said on Facebook last night.
‘Fabricating cheap slander’
Rosmah called on the Communications Ministry to take action against Nga over the post.

“If ordinary citizens can face action for spreading fake content, is a DAP minister immune simply because he is part of the government?
“I will not remain silent.
"Politics can involve humour, but do not be such a coward that you resort to using another person’s image and fabricating cheap slander to deceive the public,” she added.
Najib’s special officer Lutfi Azhar confirmed to Malaysiakini that the Facebook post carrying Rosmah’s statement is her official page.
Malaysiakini has contacted Nga’s aide for comments.
The DAP MP’s recent post was not the first time he has found himself in hot water with Rosmah. In 2015, Najib and Rosmah sued Nga over a Facebook post where he shared a picture of the couple and several other ministers, claiming that she had attended a cabinet meeting.
The defamation suit was resolved when the trio reached a settlement in 2016, with Nga retracting his comments made against the couple as part of the deal. - Mkini
