Johor Bahru police chief Ab Rahaman Arsad says 11 other suspects will be released on bail.

Johor Bahru police chief Ab Rahaman Arsad said they would be charged in the Johor Bahru sessions court under Section 436 of the Penal Code for committing mischief by fire or explosive substance, with common intention.
“The other 11 suspects are to be released on bail under Section 118 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” he said in a statement today.
Rahaman said the total number of suspects stood at 15 after police arrested two more men, aged 27 and 28, in the Johor Bahru area on Oct 20.
One of the two men has a record for 10 criminal and drug-related offences, he said. Urine tests on both suspects returned negative results.
Police initially arrested 13 men following the attack on Oct 13, when Molotov cocktails were thrown at homes occupied by members of the Rohingya community shortly after midnight.
The fires were put out swiftly, and no injuries or property damage were reported. - FMT
