HOW NOW IBRAHIM ALI, JAMAL YUNOS, UMNO YOUTH? PUTRAJAYA APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF 10 NEW CHINESE PRIMARY SCHOOLS

PUTRAJAYA: The Government has approved the construction of 10 new Chinese primary schools in Johor and Selangor, the Education Minister said.

Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said at a press conference at the ministry here on Thursday (Oct 26) that the new schools are:

1. SJK (C) Kuek Ho Yao in Mount Austin, Tebrau, JB, Johor

2. SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu, Tmn Bisdari Perdana, Plentong, JB, Johor

4. SJK (C) Tan Kah Kee, Kulai, JB, Gerbang Nusajaya, Iskandar Puteri, Johor

5. SJK (C) Cheah Fah, Pulai, JB, Sunway Iskandar, Johor

6. SJK (C) Lee Loy Seng, Bdr Seri Coalfields, Ijok, Kuala Selangor, Selangor

7. SJK (C) Sunsuria, Bdr Sunsuria, Sepang, Selangor

8. SJK (C) Tun Ong Yoke Lin, Gamuda Cove, Kuala Langat, Selangor

9. SJK (C) Tun Lim Chong Eu, Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam, Selangor

10. SJK (C) Too Joon Hing, Dengkil, Sepang, Selangor

Mahdzir added that six more schools would be relocated to new sites.

The six schools to be relocated are:

1. SJK (C) Poay Chai, Singkir, Kedah to Tmn Bkt Indah, Johor

2. SJK (C) Poi Min, Gopeng, Perak to Puchong Perdana, Puchong

3. SJK (C) Aik Hua, Taiping, Perak to Kota Seriemas, Negri Sembilan

4. SJK (C) Ladang Regent, Gemencheh, Negri Sembilan to Bandar Elmina, Selangor (new name to be revealed)

5. SJK (C) Panching, Kuantan, Pahang to Kota SAS, Pahang

6. SJK (C) Ladang Grisek, Bkt Gambir, Ledang, Johor to Tmn Kota Masai (new name to be announced)

Also present at the press conference were MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong and Deputy Education Minister Datuk Chong Sin Woon.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had said during the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) dialogue with Chinese youths on Saturday that an announcement on new Chinese schools could be expected very soon.
