Jamal smashes beer bottles outside Selangor secretariat office (with video)

Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos has struck again.

This time, he used a sledgehammer to smash boxes of beer bottles outside the Selangor state secretariat (SUK) building in Shah Alam this morning.

"If you want to drink, let (Selangor Menteri Besar) Azmin Ali and the gang, the excos, drink and get drunk in their offices.

"But don't let the Selangor people become drunk at beer parties," he said as he smashed the boxes.

"Is this MB (menteri besar) inviting the Selangor people to get drunk? (These festivals) should be cancelled," he added.

Beer festivals have of late courted controversy in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

The Klang Municipal Council (MBK) recently gave permission for a "German F&B Festival" to be held in Klang, where alcohol would be served.

In contrast, the Johor, Penang and Sarawak state governments said they had no problems with beer festivals like Oktoberfest being organised in their state.- Mkini
