Las Vegas Shooter Used A "Bump Stock" To Convert Rifle Into Machine Gun

The Las Vegas shooting has killed 59 people, including the shooter himself.

It has emerged now that the shooter had with him 23 rifles and guns set up in his very expensive hotel suite 32 floors up. 

He also used a device called a "bump stock" which can convert a semi automatic assault rifle to become a 'fully automatic' assault rifle.  Fully automatic means machine gun type rapid fire.

Here is a YouTube video of that simple mechanical device.  

The "bump stock" is a replacement rifle butt which catches the rifle's recoil to push back and pull the trigger finger back along with the recoil. 

So the shooter does not have to move his firing finger by himself to fire the rifle. He just holds his finger tightly over the trigger and the movement of the recoil moves his firing finger back and forth.
