Umno supreme council member Sohaimi Shahadan was stabbed in the head and shoulder in front of his house in Sungai Buloh today, by a man believed to be mentally unstable.
The mStar Online portal quoted his wife Nurul Azni Roslan as saying that the incident happened at about 9pm when Sohaimi was leaving the house for Shah Alam with a sibling and his driver.
"First the man threw stones at my husband, and he was stabbed when he asked the man why he was behaving that way.
"This is not the first time such an incident has happened. The same man has attacked my husband previously, also by throwing stones, and by splashing paint on our car," she claimed.
According to Nurul Azni, Sohaimi is reportedly in a stable condition and is being treated at the KPJ Hospital in Damansara.
The police have recorded statements from witnesses of the incident.- Mkini
