SEMENYIH: The Ministry of Home Affairs says it has already shortlisted several names to replace the inspector-general of police and his deputy.
Its minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the names would be submitted to Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the coming days.
“I will submit a formal proposal to the prime minister,” he said, adding that it would then be presented to the Agong.
He said he would ensure the names are selected based on the constitutional requirement.
IGP Mohamad Fuzi Harun is slated to retire on his birthday this May. His deputy, Noor Rashid Ibrahim, will retire on March 17. - FMT
