PETALING JAYA: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong met with the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) to discuss racial unity in China during a working visit there.
He shared a photo of himself in discussion with former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and CPC Director-General of Foreign Affairs Sun Haiyan on Facebook on Wednesday (Feb 27).
“With Dr Zambry Kadir in a discussion with Madan Sun Haiyan, the CPC Director-General of Foreign Affairs, on the basis of racial unity in China,” he posted, adding that there were 56 ethnic groups in Xinjiang.
“The experience of bringing together multiracial relationships should be shared by all parties.
“We cannot see it from one race’s perspective. Instead, we need to respect and celebrate all races, cultures and religions,” Dr Wee added.
