INQUEST | A Fire and Rescue Department personnel claimed that he heard a someone in the crowd warning them not to put out a burning car, yelling “Jangan padam, pukul bomba (don't put it out, whack them).”
Relating what transpired on the night of Nov 27 outside the Seafield Seri Mahariamman temple, Mohd Sharol Anuar Kamarudin, 27, said he was stunned to face the hostile crowd when he arrived at the site at 1.12am.
He also claimed that three people rushed towards him armed with a metal pole and what appeared to be a “samurai sword”.
"I was stunned... I overheard a threatening voice. I also heard the voice saying, 'Jangan padam!' 'Pukul bomba!'
"So I climbed back into the FRT (fire truck)," he added.
Sharol Anuar is the seventh witness in the inquest to determine firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim's cause of death.
