Group claims Indira's daughter's MyKid number changed illegally

Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) has alleged that the MyKid number of Indira's missing daughter Prasana Diksa has been changed, making it difficult for her to track Prasana's whereabouts.
In a press conference at Petaling Jaya today, Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) claimed this to be the case as Prasana's record is not in the Education Ministry's database.
"From our investigation team and resources, we know the girl is nowhere to be found in any educational system database.
"If Indira's ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah were to take her anywhere, he would have registered her in school using her existing MyKid identification number.
"We suspect that there was a deliberate move of illegally issuing a new identity card number, with the assistance of the National Registration Department (NRD) and Home Ministry," he said.
Hence, Indira, who was also present at the press conference, said she had filed a report with the MACC against the NRD, Home Ministry, as well as former home minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Malaysiakini sighted the copy of the report dated Feb 22, in which Indira alleged that the NRD, Home Ministry, and Zahid had colluded in illegally changing the identity number to conceal Prasana's identity to avoid detection by the police and herself since 2014.
Malaysiakini has contacted Zahid for his comment on the allegation.
Prasana was a toddler when her father, a Muslim convert, took her away from Indira in 2009.
A lengthy legal battle with his ex-wife ensued involving both the syariah and civil courts. The High Court issued an arrest warrant for Riduan in 2014.
The police have yet to locate him.
