NO DOCTORATE OR MASTERS CAN SAVE KA SIONG: AN OBJECT OF PUBLIC DISDAIN, MCA CHIEF TURNS BRAGGART IN BID TO BURNISH HIS MISSING CREDIBILITY – YET ONLY PROVES A LACK OF PRINCIPLES CAN NEGATE ANY ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

PETALING JAYA – MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong shared photos of himself in graduation robes receiving his PhD and Masters degree amid controversy over dubious academic credentials among Pakatan Harapan leaders.

One of the photos was taken in 2002, together with his wife and daughter, when he received hisPhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

“I was 34 years old and my body weight was 103kg at that time. Wow, very fat lor!” he wrote in a Facebook post on Friday (Feb 15).

The other photo was taken in 1996 where the late former Singapore president Ong Teng Cheong presented him with a Master of Engineering degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore.

“Certainly, the degrees from NTU Singapore and UTM cannot be bought or faked,” he said.His post came after former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak changed his Facebook profile picture Thursday (Feb 14) to one of him at his graduation ceremony in 1974.
