No new leads on Indira’s child, ex-husband, says Fuzi

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohamad Fuzi Harun has said that the police have no new leads on the whereabouts of Indira Gandhi’s former husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, or their youngest daughter Prasana Diksa.

Thus, Fuzi once again appealed to the public for information.
“We have no information. I urge anyone with information to please come forward and we will take swift action,” he said when asked during a press conference after the Federal Reserve Unit’s 63rd-anniversary celebrations in Cheras today.
Last Saturday, Indira along with an action team named after her (The Indira Gandhi Action Team - Ingat) offered an RM10,000 reward for anyone who could provide information on Ridhuan’s whereabouts.
Indira also said that she would file a mandamus order against Fuzi to compel him to arrest her former spouse.

Today, Fuzi (photo) said that past appeals for public information about Ridhuan and Prasana have not been fruitful, but added that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) would continue to seek new leads.
“I have given repeated orders to the CID to make announcements and all that about the case, and the process of making announcements continues. There is no problem.
“The only thing is we have not been getting responses from the public,” he said.
It has been almost 10 years since Ridhuan took Prasana away and unilaterally converted his three children to Islam in 2009.
A lengthy legal battle between Riduan and Indira then ensued, involving both the syariah and civil courts.
In 2014, the High Court had issued an arrest warrant for Riduan, but the police have yet to locate him.
Last year, the Federal Court unanimously declared the unilateral conversion to be unlawful
