KUALA KUBU BARU: A bogus doctor who allegedly outraged the modesty of more than 20 women has been arrested by the police and is expected to be charged in court.
Hulu Selangor Acting OCPD Deputy Supt Azman Ab Rahman said that they have been receiving reports about the suspect's alleged misconduct since January.
"The suspect would contact the victims over HIV tests and tell them that they have other illnesses such as lumps in their breasts,breast cancer,blood disorders,and fat in their womb.
"The suspect would then give the victims consultations and teach them certain techniques and exercises including squats. He would instruct them to rub their private parts and slap their breasts and make noises while uttering foul language," Supt Azman said when contacted on Monday (Aug 5).
He said a 21 police reports had been lodged against the suspect nationwide.
"In Selangor alone,four police reports were lodged and investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code for committing gross indecency on another person.
"Following these reports,a team from the Selangor police headquarters raided a hotel in Klang on July 9 and arrested him. We also seized his mobile phone," he said.
Police are investigating the case under Section 509 of the Penal Code for outraging the modesty of a woman and Section 170 of the Penal Code for posing as a doctor.
Supt Azman said the suspect is expected to be charged at the Kuala Kubu Baru Sessions Court. - Star
