SUNGAI BULOH: A wall of flames blocked drivers for almost an hour on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) here when a lorry transporting diesel caught fire.
The lorry crashed into the divider at KM23.5 of the NKVE and burst into flames at about 11.20am on Saturday (Aug 3) and the diesel created a wall of fire blocking traffic heading south.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Hafisham Mohd Noor said there were no injuries in the incident.
"However, the driver was not present at the scene," he said in a statement on Saturday.
Six firemen from the Sungai Buloh fire station were dispatched to the scene and they managed to extinguish the flames.- Star
