The government's readiness for the implementation of the 5G broadband technology and suggestion to ban the sale of vape will be among the main focus at the Dewan Rakyat today.
According to the Dewan Rakyat order papers posted on the Parliament website, 5G related matters is the first question to be asked during the minister’s Question Time by Teh Kok Lim (PH-Taiping).
Also expected to capture the lawmakers’ attention is a question from Ahmad Marzuk Shaary (PAS-Pengkalan Chepa), who called on the Health Ministry to enforce a comprehensive ban on electronic cigarettes and vape, or prevent the sale of such items, especially among school students.
Also expected to steal attention is Mukhriz Mahathir's (PH-Jerlun) question seeking clarification from the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry whether states outside the “tourist path” will benefit from the Visit Malaysia Year 2020.
Following the session, the Dewan Rakyat will resume debate on the second reading of the Supply Bill 2020 by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
The current meeting of Dewan Rakyat is scheduled to take place until Dec 5.
