Search operation for missing Mohd Danish to focus on rubbish traps

The search and rescue (SAR) mission for Mohamad Danish Supri Antony, 9, who was feared drowned after falling into a drain six days ago, has been narrowed down to several rubbish traps in the Klang Valley.
Pandan Indah Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Faizal Md Zain said the traps involved were located at Sungai Kandis in Klang; Seri Muda in Shah Alam and Lembah Maju in Pandan, and the search would be coordinated by the respective fire stations in the area.
"The SAR operation scope will focus on ‘hotspot' areas where the victim is likely to have been swept away.
"As of today, a search area of between 40 and 50km has been covered from Sungai Kerayong, Ampang up to Sungai Klang," he told Bernama.

He said search operations along Sungai Kerayong, which were carried out until its base, did not yield any results.
He noted that the operation was being carried out daily with the strength of 50 personnel from fire stations in Pandan Indah, Port Klang, Shah Alam, Andalas, Kota Raja and Puchong.
The operation also involves the services of the Water Rescue Unit (PPDA) from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department as well as the police's Canine Unit (K9) and drones.
Mohd Faizal said the operation would be continued until tomorrow, but it would depend on any new leads.
Mohamad Danish was reported missing on Tuesday and he was feared drowned after falling into a drain while playing with several friends in Taman Bukit Teratai, Ampang.
