‘LIM KIT SIANG SHOULD BE KILLED’ – MAN WHO THREATENED DAP LEADER ARRESTED – EVEN AS CONSPIRACY RUMORS SWIRL OF A PLOT TO TRIGGER CHAOS AMID INTENSIFYING USE OF MALAY VS NON-MALAY, RACE & RELIGIOUS POLITICS

Police yesterday arrested a 50-year old man in connection with a death threat made against DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang (above) via Facebook.
The arrest followed a police report filed by DAP socialist youth chief Howard Lee Chuan How in Jelapang last week.
Howard is also the Pasir Panji assemblyperson.
“Police arrested the suspect in Temerloh, Pahang, yesterday.
“He is under remand until tomorrow. After that, we will send the investigation paper to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further action,” said Federal CID chief Huzir Mohamed in a media conference at Bukit Aman today.
The case was investigated under Section 506 of the penal code for criminal intimidation and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
The Facebook posting which read, “Lim Kit Siang ini sudah wajib dibunuh” (Lim Kit Siang should be killed) was uploaded by a user by the name of “Hata Wahari.”
Howard, in addressing the matter in Ipoh last week, said the death threat against Lim is worrying.
“In politics, I’m always open and I cherish the difference of opinions, but I’m confident that a death threat has never been accepted as part of human rights in this country.
“Making a death threat like this is a serious crime.
“A death threat against a community leader who has spent years serving the people in the country is indeed worrying and cannot be left unaddressed without action,” he had said.
On a separate matter, Huzir said that police will record Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming (above) again tomorrow over the allegation that the Facebook page Nga Kor Ming Superfans allegedly attributed to him had insulted the royalty.
This will be his second visit to Bukit Aman after the first session on Oct 8.
Nga had vehemently denied the allegation, saying that the Najib Razak Facebook page had slandered him and posted fake news.
“I urge Bukit Aman to probe the ‘Najib Razak’ page which I found had uploaded fake news with the attempt to slander.
“I am confident that the truth will prevail and justice will be served,” Nga told reporters outside of Bukit Aman early this month.
Meanwhile, police will also record statements from two Facebook administrators of Najib Razak’s page, but police have not fix a date yet.
