PETALING JAYA: A 12-year-old student who was went missing on Friday (Oct 18) has been found.
It is learnt that the girl was too scared to go home after skipping school to go swimming.
Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Azman Ab Rahman said a family member called the police at around 4.30pm on Saturday (Oct 19) to inform them that the girl had been found.
"Initial investigations revealed the girl played truant and went to a friends house.
"The girl is believed to have gone for a swim in a river and was scared to go home as she stayed out too late," he said when contacted.
It was reported that police had issued a National Urgent Response (NUR) alert for Intan Nur Alyssa Qaseh Mohd Jais on Friday (Oct 18).

Her stepmother had gone to the school to pick her up at around 12.15pm when she realised the girl was not there. - Star
