MACC raids part of BN bid to invalidate my claims, says Rafizi

PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has accused MACC of bullying following two raids on his data firm, Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd.

JOHOR BAHRU: PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has accused Barisan Nasional (BN) of trying to discredit him during the past couple of weeks to invalidate his recent claims on government projects.

He alleged that BN was doing this through the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

“BN doesn’t know what else to do,” he said at a ceramah in Larkin last night, referring to the coalition’s response to his recent disclosures of government projects.

“So they sent MACC to my office and interrogated my boys for two days.”

Yesterday, Rafizi claimed MACC raided his data firm, Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd. It was the second raid in less than 24 hours.

The Pandan candidate said he did not mind being interrogated because he was used to going “in and out of the lock-up”. He also accused MACC of bullying after it interrogated his staff for eight hours.

He said BN was desperate for “ammunition” because it knew it would lose in the elections.

“Because I am on the frontline of (the Pakatan Harapan) election campaign against Umno, BN and Perikatan Nasional, I understand the motive of this investigation,” he said.

Last week, it was reported that MACC was investigating Rafizi’s assets declaration, after a report was lodged urging the agency to specifically look into Invoke.

Rafizi had declared RM18,851,350 in net assets as at Oct 31.

Recently, he claimed the environment and water ministry was awarding a RM2 billion project through direct negotiations to an Umno-linked company.

He also claimed that a businessman linked to the MySejahtera app was behind a firm receiving payments for technical services in the littoral combat ship project. -FMT
