KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional’s candidate for the Batu seat, A Kohilan Pillay, claims that Pakatan Harapan’s P Prabakaran copied his manifesto for the constituency here.
The MIC vice-president accused Prabakaran of taking up several points from his manifesto and making similar pledges as though they were his.
“Most of the core points in my manifesto, such as improvements for religious schools, were highlighted by him.
“You can ask the rest of my team, who came up with the manifesto first, me or Prabakaran?” he said during a BN ceramah here in Sentul.
Kohilan then challenged the Batu PKR chief to reveal his full manifesto so that a comparison of their election pledges could be made.
FMT is reaching out to Prabakaran for comment.
Kohilan and Prabakaran, the former Batu MP, are in a 10-cornered fight for the seat.
They are joined by Perikatan Nasional’s Azhar Yahya, Pejuang’s Wan Azliana Wan Adnan, Warisan’s Naganathan Pillai, Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Zulkifli Abdul Fattah and four independent candidates, including former Batu MP Tian Chua. - FMT
