PUTRAJAYA: Six people attached with the Putrajaya district police headquarters here were issued summonses for violating traffic regulations yesterday.
The summonses were issued during a surprise special operation conducted by Putrajaya police at the entrance of its headquarters.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Aidi Sham Mohamed said that the operation, which took place from 7.30am to 9.30am, also involved members from the Integrity and Standard Compliance Division.
Of the total summonses issued, Aidi Sham said five were for expired licences and one for driving without a licence.
"Four summonses were issued to parents dropping off their children at daycare centres, while the other two involved canteen workers.
"This operation aims to ensure that the personnel of the Putrajaya district police headquarters comply with traffic laws and regulations, such as holding valid driving licences, having valid road tax, and other traffic offences," he said. - NST
