MACC says it will resume taking a statement from the former senior official of a statutory body tomorrow.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission spent over seven hours on its third day questioning a former chief financial officer of a statutory body as part of its investigation into Tabung Haji.
MACC chief commissioner Abd Halim Aman said the former senior official arrived at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters around 10am and only left at about 5.30pm.
“We will continue taking his statement tomorrow,” he said in a brief statement.
The MACC’s probe centres on alleged abuse of power in the purchase of shares in two plantation companies worth RM370 million.
The former CFO and the statutory body’s former CEO were arrested by MACC earlier this week as part of its probe into the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) report on Tabung Haji. They were later released due to health reasons. - FMT
