A source says seven of the personnel are attached to various branches under the Sentul police headquarters while another is attached to the Brickfields police headquarters.

Bukit Aman integrity and standards compliance department (JIPS) director Aida Abdul Hamid said her department was closely monitoring the case and that a transparent investigation was being conducted by the Ampang Jaya police headquarters.
“Yes, Bukit Aman JIPS confirms the arrest of eight police personnel and a civilian in an operation in Taman Keramat,” she said when contacted.
According to sources, the raid was conducted at 8.45pm on Tuesday at Jalan AU1, Taman Keramat, by the Bukit Aman JIPS intelligence and operations branch and the Ampang Jaya narcotics crime investigation division.
“The eight arrested personnel include seven attached to various branches under the Sentul police headquarters while another is attached to the Brickfields police headquarters. A civilian was also arrested,” the source said.
The source added that all the suspects were being held at the Hulu Kelang police station lock-up, with the case being investigated under Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952 (which prohibits the unauthorised handling, possession, or use of psychotropic substances). - FMT
