Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Md Yunos needs a permit in order to sell fish at Padang Timur this Saturday, said Petaling Jaya mayor Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain.
Jamal’s plan to play fishmonger at the opposition’s “Love Malaysia, Eradicate Kleptocracy” rally being in Padang Timur may not come to pass as he has yet to apply for a permit with Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).
"Not only Jamal, anyone who wants to do business or sell fish at Padang Timur or any place in Petaling Jaya, needs to apply for a permit," Mohd Azizi told Malaysiakini.

"Without the permit, then he will be operating an illegal business and risks being evicted.
"We will have to take enforcement action against him. I will have my boys to angkat dia (carry him) to get him out," he said.
The mayor added that the organisers of the anti-kleptocracy rally have already obtained the necessary permits to use Padang Timur, as well as to sell goods at the event.
Meanwhile, when met at another event, Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali declined to entertain any question on Jamal.
"I don't want a worthless polemic to turn into an important discussion. Do I have to respond to this issue? " he asked.
Earlier today, deputy inspector-general of police Noor Rashid Ibrahim advised Jamal against “gatecrashing” the rally to sell fish.
"I advise him not to cause any disturbance. Don't create any chaos, that's my advice," he said.
Jamal’s more theatrical protests of late have included an ice-cream festival as an “alternative” to Oktoberfest, and smashing beer bottles outside the Selangor state secretariat building.
Umno leaders have since distanced themselves from Jamal, who first rose to prominence after organising a red-shirts protest to counter the Bersih rallies.- Mkini
