The High Court in Kuala Lumpur has fixed Nov 23 to deliver its decision on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, 1MDB, Riza Aziz, and the government's application to strike out a suit brought on by Zaid Ibrahim regarding 1MDB.
Judicial commissioner Rohani Ismail fixed the date in chambers today following case management.
Rohani fixed Oct 23 for parties to file their written submission and Nov 3 for reply of the submission.
"Following that the court fixed Nov 23 for the decision," said Najib's lawyer Mohd Hafarizam Harun.
Hafarizam said Zaid has no locus standii (legal standing) to initiate the class action and there is no reasonable cause of action for the former de facto law minister to initiate the suit.
