PETALING JAYA: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail are celebrating nearly four decades of marriage, with their 39th wedding anniversary taking place on Tuesday (Feb 26).
To mark the occasion, Anwar posted a picture of the both of them on his official Instagram account with a short and sweet caption.
"39 years. Through ups and downs, good times and bad. I would not be where I am without my rock @drwanazizah. InsyaAllah many more to come," it read.
At time of writing, the heartfelt post has garnered over 8,000 Likes.
Many of the 400 or so comments left on the post bore hearty congratulations for the couple, with many praying for their continued well-being and happiness.
In recognition of the hurdles that Anwar and Dr Wan Azizah faced together, Instagram user @mus69mus_muhsin said: "This couple have (sic) been through so much trials and tribulation. Hope Allah SWT will reward both of you with jannah".
