SEMENYIH POLLS
| The Pakatan Harapan-led government does not have a magic lamp that could resolve the country’s economic woes in short order, said Amanah secretary-general Mohd Anuar Tahir.
He urged that the people give the government more time to resolve any outstanding issues, especially those related to the economy.
“Please give some time. It is difficult to restore the economy. It’s not like we have Aladdin’s Lamp that we could rub and make problems go away.
“We admit that we don’t have much experience… but we are clean and not corrupt,” he said at a ceramah at Bandar Rinching Flats, Semenyih, last night.
Also present are Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari and Semenyih Harapan by-election candidate Muhammad Aiman Zainali.
At the function, Harapan also launched the “Aiman 4Semenyih” agenda that outlines Aiman’s five campaign promises.
Anuar, who is also the deputy works minister, described BN as “gila talak” (missing ones divorced ex-spouse) although it is no longer the federal government.
He accused BN of playing the race and religion card in a bid to win the by-election.
“They (BN) want to win by any means even if it is dirty and despicable. They play with racial issues,” he said. - Mkini
