KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Traffic on several major expressways was reported to be heavy and slow-moving Saturday (Aug 10) morning as more people return to their hometowns in conjunction with Aidiladha celebration on Sunday (Aug 11).
A spokesman for PLUS Malaysia Berhad said as at 11am, traffic was heavy in Rawang Selatan heading to Rawang Utara, Slim River to Sungkai, Tapah to Gopeng and from Gopeng to Simpang Pulai.
"Traffic is also slow-moving from Changkat Jering to Taiping Utara and Jawi to Bandar Cassia," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said slow-moving traffic was also reported from Gombak toll plaza to the Genting Sempah rest area (R&R) as well as from Bukit Tinggi to Bentong Toll Plaza.
"Traffic flow on the East Coast Highway (LPT) 1 and LPT 2 is also congested in both directions," he said.
