That is how he was depicted by his own lawyer during his ongoing trial. Jho Low, a youthful businessman was the real villain and Najib simply a stupid victim.
So how did a stupid victim become Prime Minister? By mistake of his party? Because he “inherited the job” from his family? Because UMNO itself was as stupid as Najib in failing to note his unsuitability for the top job? Or simply that Najib’s counsel was snatching at straws in depicting his client as a stupid idiot snared by a scheming trickster half his age, Pull the other one!
As the evidence has shown Najib deliberately stole SRC funds for his own and his family’s personal benefit. Maybe his lawyer has not noticed that? Everyone else in Malaysia has.
