COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,561 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 25,636, up 7.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Kuala Lumpur (683)
Perak (175)
Sabah (121)
Negeri Sembilan (111)
Penang (98)
Kedah (88)
Sarawak (74)
Malacca (72)
Johor (55)
Kelantan (53)
Putrajaya (51)
Pahang (48)
Terengganu (26)
Perlis (4)
Another eight deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday Selangor (4), Kedah (2), Johor (1) and Sarawak (1).
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,437 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 63 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 158 deaths last month and 247 deaths in August.
There are 1,102 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 51 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (92) followed by Sabah (75) and Johor (44). - Mkini
