COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,737 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 26,994, up 23.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:
Selangor (680)
Kuala Lumpur (341)
Negeri Sembilan (128)
Sabah (117)
Penang (105)
Perak (94)
Kedah (49)
Johor (46)
Kelantan (43)
Malacca (40)
Sarawak (29)
Pahang (27)
Putrajaya (19)
Terengganu (11)
Perlis (7)
Labuan (1)
Another three deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,447 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 73 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 158 deaths last month and 247 deaths in August.
There are 1,042 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 52 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (102) followed by Sabah (76) and Kedah (33). - Mkini
