A meeting between Pakatan Harapan and PSM to discuss an electoral pact between the two is expected to take place tomorrow, said PSM deputy chairperson S Arutchelvan.
“We were told by (PKR secretary-general) Saifuddin Nasution that a team of three people will sit with us (for the) negotiations.
“(DAP national organising secretary) Steven Sim told us the meeting will take place most probably this Sunday,” Arutchelvan said when contacted by Malaysiakini.
This comes after he urged Harapan on Thursday to hold discussions on the electoral pact because they were all running out of time as nomination day for GE15 is on Nov 5.
It was reported that Harapan sent a draft agreement of the electoral pact to PSM on Oct 13.
Arutchelvan (above) said PSM has agreed in principle to the draft agreement, which would see PSM enter seat negotiations with the opposition coalition.
However, he added that there are some matters his party needs clarification on and thus, they are ready to discuss with the Harapan committee to finetune the agreement. - Mkini
