Pahang’s Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah wants community service sentences as an alternative to dealing with syariah criminal offences.
According to an article published on the Pahang royalty’s official website, the ruler said punishment should not be viewed solely as retribution, but as a means to encourage reflection and rehabilitation.
