Cops investigating disappearance of 12-year-old girl

PETALING JAYA
Police are investigating the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing from her home in Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1, Klang, yesterday.

The girl, identified as Madrafataha Indal Bangsawan, was last seen wearing a green jersey and black track pants.

Madrafataha has shoulder-length hair, is thin and fair-skinned. She is about 150cm tall.

In a statement, Klang Selatan police chief Cha Hoong Fong said a report was lodged by the girl’s mother at around 8.59pm last night after she failed to locate her daughter.

He said Madrafataha’s mother had asked her to retrieve some food from their car at around 2.20pm. The car was parked below their flat at Lorong Batu Nilam 1B.

“The child went down alone, but she did not return.

By 3pm, the mother began to look for her at the parking area and the surrounding vicinity but could not locate the girl.

Cha said the district’s criminal investigation department had opened an inquiry paper to probe the matter further.

He also urged those with information on the girl’s disappearance to contact the Klang Selatan police headquarters at 03-33762222 or the nearest police station. - FMT
