
KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens have praised the city's top traffic police officer after he went beyond his supervisory duties to assist a motorcyclist involved in an accident.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd was patrolling the city on his motorcycle for Ops Selamat 26 when he saw a motorcyclist lose control of his machine and crash in Jalan Parlimen.
Zamzuri acted swiftly to provide initial assistance to the victim and ensure the scene remained safe.
According to a post on the Kuala Lumpur traffic police Facebook page, the victim sustained minor injuries.
Social media users lauded Mohd Zamzuri for personally patrolling the ground during the festive season.
A user named Parum Niot said: "A responsible senior police officer with a heart, well done!"
Another user, Gerai Murah MZK, said it was laudable that the city's top traffic officer was patrolling even during Hari Raya. - NST
