Seremban police say the 20-year-old suspect, who has a record for four crime-related offences, has been remanded for three days.

Seremban police chief Azahar Abdul Rahim said the suspect was detained in front of a restaurant at Garden Homes at about 9.10pm on Tuesday, Harian Metro reported.
The arrest was made by the state and district anti-vice, gambling and secret societies (D7) units.
Azahar said the suspect, who has a record for four crime-related offences, has been remanded for three days from Wednesday to assist in the investigation under Section 45 of the Societies Act 1966.
“The investigation is still at an early stage, and police are identifying individuals involved to have their statements recorded,” he said in a statement today.
He said a preliminary investigation found that external parties with gang affiliations are attempting to influence the pupils to join an illegal group.
“Police have opened an investigation paper under Section 45 of the Societies Act 1966 for further investigation and as a preventive measure to ensure this issue does not spread within the community, especially among students,” he said. - FMT
